Dr. Stephen Giunta received his Ph. D. in Marriage and Family Counseling in 2002 from the University of Florida’s Department of Counselor Education. He is a licensed mental health counselor in the State of Florida and a member of the board for the Florida Mental Health Counselors Association. Dr. Giunta is the past Program Chair for Argosy University/Tampa and is currently in private practice.

Dr. James Messina received his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology in 1974 from the State University of New York at Buffalo. That same year, he completed a Post-Doctoral, NIMH Fellowship in Mental Health Administration at the University of Florida. An author, consultant, editor, and adjunct faculty member, he has been has been a licensed psychologist in the State of Florida since 1980.

 

Dr. Messina is a co-founder of the American Mental Health Counselor Association and that association’s second president. He is a Founding Member of the Board of Directors for the National Board of Certified Counselors. He is a past Member of the Board for the American Counseling Association and has chaired a national committee for the American School Counselors Association. He was a Drafter of language for the Licensure of Mental Health Counselors in the State of Florida and is the recipient of a number of nation, state and local awards for service to the profession and the community.
