He is OSHA certified in Critical Incident Stress management and is a National Certified School Counselor working as a school counselor at Kingsbury High school in Memphis. He is also an adjunct professor at The University of Memphis in the department of Counseling, Educational Psychology, and Research where he teaches Crisis Intervention Strategies. Dr. Dwaine Rice is an Associate Professor and Director of Counseling Programs at The University of Memphis. He is a Certified Fellow with the National Board of Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and has held office and served on numerous national and regional professional committees and organizations.

Dr. Rice is also a Licensed Professional Counselors in Private practice in Memphis , Tennessee. He has extensive experience working in community agency counselors, especially in church related and charity settings.
